My issue was that you can't use this lib with css modules. I.e. :global blocks.

But why wouldn't that work? As far as I understand, css-loader changes semantics for url imports when in module mode but I'm not sure to what exactly (the docs are pretty confusing). Have you tried to bump importLoaders
to 2? Or prefix the path with !! to make sure no other loaders apply, e.g. !!responsive-loader?...
