Crash about dayz-minecraft HOT 7 CLOSED

Wow...looks like we are having the same issue, and looks like you have a Mac as well. I think it might have something to do with the Apple Java version. I will followup and let you know if I find anything that works!

Yes, that error is due to you using java 1.6, DayZ needs 1.7.

I just downgraded DayZ to 1.6 which should fix the errors.

My solution: After verifying installation of most recent Java update (in this case v7 u45) I edited the Forge 1.6.4 Minecraft profile by clicking "edit profile"; checking "Executable:"; and inserting path of Oracle version of Java (not apple) which is "~/Library/Internet Plug-Ins/JavaAppletPlugin.plugin/Contents/Home/bin/java". Thanks for the update DayZ!

Umm... I tried installing Java 7, and according to the update checker it worked, but Minecraft still crashes with the same error, and when I try to access the file applephx mentioned my computer says that the folder does not exist. Any suggestions?

In the Apple menu goto, "System Preferences". Under the 'Other' category there should be a Java control panel icon. After the Java Control Panel window opens, click the "Java" tab then click the "View..." button. It should give you version information for any versions installed after 7u25 as well as the directory.

This is good to know for other mods or future updates. You can't count on Apple to release up to date versions. If your still having trouble try downloading the update HoBaS-TaCo uploaded and you shouldn't have to change anything.
