Hello 👋

I'm a Content Developer at Microsoft. My role is to write and edit documentation and code samples that describe how to deploy Azure infrastructure as code with templates. The templates are written with JavaScript Object Notation (JSON) or Bicep. Deployment templates use a declarative syntax that specifies the types of resources to deploy without the need to program the deployment sequence. I also work on Bicep training documentation.

I have experience using the command line to deploy Azure resources with Azure PowerShell and Azure CLI, and can write basic PowerShell functions and scripts. I'm familiar with working in shared GitHub repositories and working with Git on the command line.

To improve my understanding of cloud computing, I earned the Microsoft Azure Fundamentals certification.

Writing samples

My writing samples are available at davidsmatlak.github.io. I developed the site with GitHub Pages and Jekyll, and the content is written with Markdown.
