Are you using the code from the PR #35 ?
Otherwise that is normal behavior as the meter reading is delayed by 24h by the API.

Sorry, I'm a beginner on Home Assistant and I installed the HACS version. How can I change that?
Can't you correct the date in the script? Unfortunately, Wiener Netze only provides the data once a day via the web portal. Can you also read in the csv file from the data export (every 15 minutes) with your script? But they are only available for the previous day!

IMHO you have to install it manually, if you want to use a different branch. I'm not sure if this is handled by HACS.

The problem with the date comes from HA itself. HA assumes that a sensor provides its data continuously, thus at the point of measurement, the value is inserted into the database. Because the data from the API comes with ~4h of delay, it will always be "measured" on the next day. There is no way to tell HA that the value is an historic one, except for manually inserting it into the database, which however might break other things.

The only currently available workaround (at least the ones I could find) is to import statistics data, which removes the ability to have a proper state on the sensor (it can handle 1h intervals though!). I.e., with the statistics you get the correct consumption afterwards, but the sensor itself cannot have a state, because it influences the statistics...

The main problem is, that HA is not built to handle historical data and the import of statistics already looks like an afterthought and is not very well documented...
