Getting video features from Video-LLaMA sounds great.
For text features, I don't think it is a good choice. The reason is because our Video-LLaMA is trained to better understand visual and audio content instead of better aligning LLMs with visual/audio representations. Actually, the language decoder is kept frozen during pre-trainin/fine-tuning and there is no difference between the text features from Video-LLaMA and those from the used language decoder.
We will consider the suggestion that getting video features from Video-LLaMA but it may need some time to do this 😅
