A week ago I removed the list_entries method from the controller query for the same problem...
list_entries seems to broke the Ancestry arrange method. 293d949
Moreover list_entries would allow you to scopes queries throught rails_admin authorization adapters, like CanCan.
And in my opinion this could compromise the integrity of the sorted records.
Could you try to use the latest version 0.1.3 and give me a feedback?

Ok, after a bit of testing I discovered I had left default_scope order('position ASC') in the model (after converting from list to tree). My fault!
0.1.3 works well.
