You are confusing the input content-type and the output content-type.  the 
request "Content-Type" header describes the +input+ data.  in order to request 
that a specific type of data be returned, you need to specify the "Accept" 
request header (which determines the +output+ "Content-Type" header).

Can you give me a quick example with "urlfetch", I've been researching and 
cannot find the syntax.

Tried this with no luck: 
          result = urlfetch.fetch(url=restURL,
                      method=urlfetch.GET,
                      headers={'Accept': contentType})

Oops - never mind, that worked. 
I changed one line of code wrong when I added the history table.
