I believe this is due to ajreynol@7d0db1a.
We are dropping some of your user patterns due to the way the quantified formulas are being expressed, I'm looking into a fix.
from cvc5.
Just for more information, the quantified formulas that are confusing are of this form:
(forall ((x Int)) (forall ((y Int)) (! P :pattern ((f x y))))
Technically this is say "instantiate x
with no guidance, afterwards instantiate y
based on the pattern (f x y)
for which x
you chose.
The clearer definition is:
(forall ((x Int) (y Int)) (! P :pattern ((f x y))))
Which says "instantiate x
and y
based on the pattern (f x y)
".
It happened to be that older versions of cvc5 would rewrite the former to latter, but the commit above made it so the pattern was dropped in some cases.
Just writing this in case you wanted to change this on your end.

All benchmarks from this issue are solved quickly with #10305.

That's great! I will try this patch ASAP.
