Import MuseScore .mcsz Files about music21 HOT 3 CLOSED

Two stages -- first would be to use the scripting mechanism of MuseScore to automatically convert a .mcsz file to .xml, assuming that the user has musescore installed. That wouldn't be too hard. Much harder would be a converter for the files directly. My sense is that with musescore being free and available on the same platforms as music21, it won't be worth the effort unless someone really wants to do it.

I didn't know about the scripting interface, which does make this much easier. In the same way, we could get Bagpipe Music Writer, BB Files, and Overture Files, whatever those are.

More important (than solving this with a new parser) is MEI (issue #31).

I'm following the Enhancement model suggested at http://brianegranger.com/?p=249 -- closing the issue here; if others believe it is important, they can reopen the issue. It's a lot of work and since musescore files can be converted to MusicXML freely and automatedly, it does not seem a high importance.
