Can you call the backup within Flask directly ? about alchemydumps HOT 4 CLOSED

I believe that is possible importing the create function from cli.py, but I haven't tried that:

from flask_alchemydumps.cli import create


create()  # probably within app context, I guess

But infact this would be really nice feature for the package — and surely when we have an API for that we should add to the docs.

With Flask 1.0 and on, there's a native CLI that replaces the traditional manage.py. So if you decide to use it, it depends on your own architecture. If you want a Flask-Script compatible version, you can dowgrade, also : )
