Does an implementation of a Prettier plugin for Gherkin already exist, such as the one found at https://github.com/mapado/prettier-plugin-gherkin?

Some of these plugins are very subjective. Each to their own - and each language will likely "bleed over" some of their thoughts to their language equivalent feature files.
I would encourage you to use whichever one/s make most sense to you, there are a few out there as linked.
