We don't even have mob armor implemented yet, so the rare drops in this sense aren't implemented. As far as I know, even the non-equipped rare drops (zombies drop iron) are not implemented.

This should not be too difficult to add, the functions that provide the loot when the mob is destroyed are there already. It'd be nice if a function AddRareDrop was added to the cMonster class, it would take a list of possible rare drops and their chances (cItemGrid::GenerateRandomLootWithBooks()-like) and called for all the rare mobs at the same time.

Seems good. We'd have to have something seperate for the armoured zombie and skeleton etc drops.

Make another function that simply rarely-drops the armor/weapons and returns true if it does so; then in the loot-dropping code call this function and only if it returns false, call the other rare drop function.
