Hmm, interesting. That isn't the double margin fix that I use.

I think the browser should be updated from "all" to "FF, Safari, Opera, Chrome, IE9, IE8, and IE7". We can include in the warning "IE6 Hack: Float is incompatible with display: inline in most browsers. However, it may be used to fix the IE6 double-margin bug."

Perhaps we need another rule that identifies hacks for IE and calls them out?

How about a message like "Warning: display:inline has no effect on floated elements (but may be used to fix the IE6 double-margin bug)."

Maybe what we need is a "IE6 supported" option. When it is on, some warnings are displayed (e.g., adjoining classes), some warnings aren't (e.g., display: inline with float).
