This issue is resolved by updates to how black swans are handled. After a black swan is triggered the asset is flagged with permanent force settlement price and no more feed updates are allowed. User can continue to trade the asset but no new margin positions may be opened.
In a recursive scenario, a blackswan in the collateral asset does not necessarily mean a black swan on the 2nd layer BitAsset. It just means that the feed producers will need to track the change in collaterals value.
