Are there any overviews of the targets for commonly used PCR tests?

The UCSC Genome Browser has a track with primers for several kits. Here is a session link showing the N gene's primers:

Still small and only Shanghai and DY.1 are unlikely to be able to compete with global variants like XBB.1.16

6/63 in today's batch of Shanghai. The share is actually growing. Especially given XBB now being the dominate strain in Shanghai (35/63, 56%). However data is still too few.

I remember China tests both N and orf1ab genes simultaneously to confirm a case; I might be wrong, though.

This branch also has lots of orf1ab mutations, are any of them on potential escaping sites?

10/613 in today's Shanghai batch, still taking some share. Decaying but much more robust than other BA.5*.

Close this and migrant to sars-cov-2-variants/lineage-proposals#13, will reopen if spotted elsewhere.
