I have reproduced your problem with termination at end of requested duration. I am investigating further.
I am also investigating how to interpret the output.

@kdnilsen yea, I am expecting to see the GC pauses and how it correlates to allocation rate and heap occupancy.

We have modified the implementation to shutdown more cleanly. We have also added explanation to README.md to clarify how to interpret results of execution.
In the process, we tentatively restructured the repository and renamed the original Heapothesys benchmark as Heapothesys/HyperAlloc.
