with @cormander's agreement, i might fork the project and take over maintenance.

that said, EL5 support isn't really a goal of mine. all of our server fleet not running alpine (with grsecurity), is on EL6. i might look into fixing up EL5 support though.

Go ahead and take over maintenance. I just don't have the time to work
on side things like this anymore :(

Let me know if I need to do anything to give you control or what have you.

Thanks,

Corey

@cormander i'll check with rack911 and see if they want to do it under their umbrella, then it's just a matter of pushing the repo over to either me or us or whatever. then just put in a stub repo here saying it has a new maintainer or whatever :)

Hi @cormander, @kaniini

I'm trying to build on RHEL7 (3.10 based kernel) and there are lots of errors. Is anyone still interested in fixing this or is this now dead?

I can put some time into this but I offer no guarantees I'll actually get it to work :-D

Many thanks.

Do you have access to RHEL7 / CentOS7 system or can I help by providing access to such a system (would be VM only)? I'm happy to help test.

A VM would be a great help. Thanks a ton.

OK, if you'd like to contact me privately ([email protected]) I can arrange access for you.

Commit 8702fa6 takes care of most of the issues. EL5 still needs work, but I may end up dropping support for it in newer versions since it's getting close to end of life if it takes up too much time.
