Sorry, I don't experiment that issue when pressing the home button and reopening the app. It seems it takes a few seconds for both local and remote video to be active again, but both work.

I will try and test on more devices but on iPhone 5 the local video goes black and freezes on the other users side.

I've tested in a iPad iOS 8.4.
