This might be an issue with my private registry actually. I'll close this once I've confirmed that.

Yes it was an issue that was caused because authentication was failing with my private registry I think.

I am still getting same error when getting image form private repository.

It seemed to start working after I sorted the related issue. Is this a private repo that you are running? If so anything in the logs?

Yes,this is private repo.In logs i can see same issue as you had.(image not found)

Yes ok but have you checked the logs that are been generated by your private repo or authentication service? Are you using https://github.com/cesanta/docker_auth ?
