@paskino The version of the package that I'm using 2.58.3-py37he00f558_1004, does in fact contain the glibconfig.h file. The key is that it lives in an unusual directory:

lib/glib-2.0/include/glibconfig.h

The idea behind this design is that the one glibconfig.h file is architecture-dependent and may live in an architecture-specific directory, while the files in include/glib-2.0 are architecture-independent and can be shared on a multi-architecture machine.

If you use the pkg-config program to get your glib compiler flags, you should get something like:

$ pkg-config --cflags glib-2.0
-I/a/include/glib-2.0 -I/a/lib/glib-2.0/include -I/a/include

that includes the lib/glib-2.0/include directory.

I'm going to close this issue under the assumption that you're encountering the intended (but surprising!) behavior, but please reopen if there's more to discuss.

@pkgw Thanks very much. As a matter of facts I hadn't been able to find it as I looked only in the include directory.
