So, it turns out it doesn't remove points, it only reorders them. The reason why it looks like that is that the resulting points are not so well aligned. So the 1st of one path with the 1st of another path don't lie at exactly on top of each other. To verify, I printed the points and they remain the same.
I also added the property to the slicer that gives out the total number of points, to make it easier to verify
from compas_slicer.
