Agreed, this would be useful, as we currently need to deal with a number of http servers, and we need to keep track of them.
Here are some possible solutions:
- Add a "meta" web-server able to expose one single interface. We would need to send additional information such as what is the "name" (or any other identifier) of the proxy we want to change the handler.
- Add another way to control the vaurien handlers, for instance with 0mq. All these vaurien instances could then be controlled by another (http?) server.
These two ideas are quite different from what I would expect first-hand, as they need each vaurien insntance to have a way to be controlled by an exterior interface (rpc or http). The way the http server is implemented currently doesn't allow to have one HTTP server control different instances of vaurien, as it uses the fact that it's run on the same process.
I think I woud go for #1 for now, as we already have the HTTP code able to handle this for us.
