Maybe check later if this is a problem, because all versions are saved, so no data is lost.

Each save creates a new version in the database, so both versions can be compared.
If optimistic locking is needed a separate issue can be created to solve this in the BaseX/PostgreSQL implementation.
The solution is probably to check if the version passed in the Header is the latest version.
