Thank you for your proposal.
My personal opinion would be to keep graphing in your preferred graphing tool and collectd to collect and ship the data to the metric store.

I should have worded that better. This issue is about data-collection side, to extend the existing conntrack plugin or possibly a new plugin to collect the per-state metrics of connection tracking.

- I think folding this into the conntrack plugin would be preferable over creating a new plugin.
- Yes, a configuration option like
ReportByStatewould be ideal.
