So I have noticed that now it changes the playback speed under the hood, instead of changing the YT player setting (like I think it should). This caused it to play at your desired speed but appear in the settings in the player as being normal speed.

After some further investigation, this appears to be an issue where IT is setting the playback speed on the video player itself and the YT interface is not updating itself to match the player's speed.
