I'm less convinced we want it in CP itself considering that the Swift team seems to think that static libs are the future again :)

Is that really true for apps though? They've said that frameworks are on their agenda, not sure about the dynamic bit. There's still valid space for people wanting the "I want to copy & paste it into my app" experience.

now that ABI compat has been pushed back a yeah, I guess static libs are delayed again?
