Note that boost::hash is a rather different hash function, as described by 
http://www.boost.org/doc/libs/1_55_0/doc/html/hash/rationale.html#ftn.hash.ratio
nale.f0 -- I don't think it really tries to do any of the avalanching and 
similar things that MurmurHash et al. try to do.

A summary of the text at the link: boost::hash is a poor quality algorithm, and 
should not be used generally, only in specific cases where it is tested to work 
well. I imagine the algorithm would fair poorly in the smhasher tests, and that 
is why it has not been added.
