Two notes:
You erased the portion of the bug template that requires testing with Firefox
4. Did you? Marking Invalid on that; please see the front page for why we
require this.
Also, why are you doing that? What is the purpose you have in mind for doing so?
If this is not part of Fx4, it won't be part of TenFourFox, so please test
first.
Marking Invalid pending more information.

- Changed state: Invalid
from tenfourfox.
I should also add that if you simply want to set a default font, do that from
TenFourFox > Preferences, Content, which is the standard and supported manner.

Testing with Firefox 4 is not possible ... there is no version that runs on
MacOS 10.4 (PowerPC).
Because American Typewriter is apparently packaged in some "non standard" way
and that is the only way to select American Typewriter Condensed with Firefox;
see bugzilla item below

If this is just for your own use, for another bug we recently added a pref
setting that may be a way for you to use American Typewriter Condensed. A pref
setting was added on the mac, "font.single-face-list" which allows you to
specify individual font faces that should be treated as font families.
1. In the URL box, enter about:config
2. In the filter box, enter font.sing
3. You should see "font.single-face-list" appear. Double click on the value
(by default "Osaka-Mono".
4. Add the Postscript name of the font face you want to treat as an independent
family, in this case AmericanTypewriter-Condensed. (You can look these up in
FontBook, click on a particular font and select Preview > Show Font Info. The
Postscript name will be listed).
This will only work within your browser, you won't be able to publish pages
with the font family name "American Typewriter Condensed" unless you actually
have a font with that family name.
This change will be available in the next beta release, Firefox 3 B4.
Hope this helps.

Is that sufficient information?

No, for two reasons:
- I understand there is no version of Fx4 that works on 10.4, which is why bug
reports against any Tier 1 platform will be accepted, including Windows,
Linux/LinuxPPC or Mac OS X 10.5+ Intel (as it states on the main page). The
nature of this bug strongly suggests that it is in crossplatform code that
TenFourFox does not maintain. I need proof this bug does not occur in the base
layout to count as a TenFourFox bug, not a Mozilla one. More to the point, it
is not at all clear that Mozilla even still continues to support this feature.
- I don't have this font, nor the STRs, and this is an ITC font, so I cannot
download it without cost and cannot test myself. Please do not attach it here,
by the way, as doing so would technically be piracy.
Even with these two conditions met, there is no guarantee I can correct this.
In the meantime, if you have a workaround that seems to work, you are welcome
to post it, or code if you figure out a solution.

Thanks for the feedback. I don't have a solution, but I went through all the
fonts on my Mac and found an alternate, PMingLiU, that is so close to American
Typewriter Condensed that I cannot tell the difference, so I'm happy to live
with it.
