Chuck Jungmann

I'm an old programmer who loves to write code. I aspire to continual improvement, taking stock of on-going work to evaluate practices that help or hinder my projects.

In particular, I try to improve my ability to write code that is easy to read, easy to follow, and easy to debug. I like to experiment with new code organization ideas in unfamiliar domains.

I have not been formally employed for many years, and my money-making ideas have, sadly, not garnered much money. The ideas have generally been too big, growing in scope as I recognize unexpected requirements. It often feels like bicycling up a high mountain pass, hoping each curve reveals the crest of the road, the final issue to solve before you can consider a project to be complete. Just like I refused to take a cycling break before the crest of the road, I stick with unprofitable projects too long with the hope that the next feature or fix will be the last.

Apologies

This is my first effort in creating a GitHub profile. The following content is representative of my skills and interests, but it will be repetitive and disorganized while I experiment and study other profiles for better ideas.
