Both the RLTK::Parser.empty_list and RLTK::Parser.nonempty_list productions take only a single parser symbol as the separator. Empty separators and strings that contain multiple parser symbols get through due to the lack of type checking in Ruby, but later cause problems in the callback mechanism that allows the parser and CFG object to interact.
I've already started to make changes to allow for empty separators. I'll add support for multiple symbol separators as well.
What part of the documentation did you find non-specific?

Well after re-reading the decumentation I found it to be precise
An empty list is a list that may contain 0, 1, or more elements, with a given token seperating each element.`
So my mistake sorry :)

Not a problem. I'll just treat this as a feature request :-)

Support for lists with empty separators and separators with multiple tokens was added in the last commit to the brainfuck branch. The documentation still needs to be updated.
