Thanks for the suggestion. In fact, my goal is to use pwsh everywhere for my different dev environments for a cross-platform shell experience and decrease the use of standard *nix shells. Therefore, I might not deploy my dotfiles with yadm. I'm willing to wait for the support of pwsh on x86 linux.

It's a bit beyond expression, but pwsh is now the only shell having a "native" cross-platform experience, thanks to .NET. And it's so sad that any modern shells like zsh and fishshell are strongly *nix bound.

You might consider deploying your dotfiles via yadm which runs fine under iSH (once you install bash). Then move the logic in

dotfiles/install.ps1

Lines 48 to 53 in 94ca80d

& {
# .npmrc
if (!(Test-Path "$DSTROOT/.npmrc")) {
Write-Output "loglevel=http" | Out-File "$DSTROOT/.npmrc" -Force
}
}
into a bash bootstrap script, and you are all set!

It's a shame that so much software forgoes x86, as it allows you to run in emulation mode in many different environments, such as Windows on ARM.
