I think this is really an issue for https://github.com/ChannelFinder/ChannelFinderService

recsync already does as much as it can. Alias names are collected, but nothing can be done with them until CF can represent aliases (to my knowledge it can't).

We should be able to treat the alias as a normal property. Is there specific reason not to do that?
To do that, we just need a proper approach to populate the alias.

Agree with Michael, it mostly is an issue for channel finder.

On the other side, maybe we can configure recsync to process alias as property instead of dropping them silently in recreceiver.
It would be a simple improvement, but need the CF user/admin to manage the alias in a consistent way.
