The issue is now fixed on DirectSum
v0.5.5
julia> [-v1,v1]
2-element Array{Simplex{⟨∞∅+++⟩,1,v₁,Number},1}:
-1v₁

However, the type promotion results in Simplex{V,G,B,Number}
, which is not the best for performance. If you want to get the best performance, you should manually promote the SubManifold
element to an element of Simplex{V,G,B,Int64}
for type stability.

Ah yes, I need to resolve that method ambiguity.
As an alternative, you can do the following at the moment:
julia> [Chain(-1v1),Chain(v1)]
2-element Array{Chain{⟨∞∅+++⟩,1,Int64,5},1}:
0v∞ + 0v∅ - 1v₁ + 0v₂ + 0v₃
0v∞ + 0v∅ + 1v₁ + 0v₂ + 0v₃
This is a bug with DirectSum
, not Grassmann
so I'm transferring the issue.
