For example, as we think now - the text for "How the data were selected"
would be different for each sample.

If the text is not too long, e.g. of the size of a typical abstract of a paper, then the best would be to store it directly in the record itself, for each record. E.g. see the current MARC tag 500 where we currently have a placeholder information saying:

"Data set size 3.4 TB, number of events 12345678, number of files 3456."

in https://github.com/tiborsimko/open-data.cern.ch/blob/pu/invenio_opendata/testsuite/data/cms/open-data-demo-records.xml

We could introduce yet another MARC tag 500 with expanded text saying details about selection for each dataset.

(BTW the number of events and files we'll populate from the CMS DAS JSON format.)

@tiborsimko Yes, in the working meeting today, we came to the conclusion that the event selection
information and the validation information could indeed part of the metadata.
The basic text for it should be fairly short, with link to further information.

@katilp Perfect, we look at it the same way then. (Sorry I could not come today due to other commitments...)

I think this was fixed; the template structure is now in well place, even though we have to propagate some (most) metadata information to the templates. AS this is covered in another issue #120, I'm closing this one.
