Yep your expectation is correct, it should act like a normal, centered label after you change the text. I'll check it out when I get a chance.

I had other changes in work (check out the latest commits), and I didn't do a full check into this problem because as far as I can tell it doesn't occur as of now. But I'll leave this open for now - check out the updates and see if they fix your issue and you can close the issue if so.

Thanks, that fixed it! It also fixed another bug where the label would not erase itself if the text was set to nil or an empty string.

Just a minor note: I found that after the update CoreText is required in addition to QuartzCore.

Great! Yep I made a small note of the CoreText requirement in the Readme, but I'll add something to draw a little more attention to it.
