@quentin389 did you manage to get any further with investigating if this is the reason why the "lite" versions are so much faster?
I think when we implement "lite" support (#16) into the new system, this will not be an issue however.

I haven't had any time this last few weeks, so I did not investigate. The potential issue with lite version is with the php module parser that is used in get_browser() call, so that doesn't directly affect implementing anything in the https://github.com/browscap/browscap. So yeah, go ahead and implement lite file support.
