I want to use that to set my proxy, you have handlers for state deep inside the store, and I'd rather not get into that

And you don't have certain standard chrome extension support so I can't use things like

chrome.tabs // etc.

or I would just follow the chrome extension way of doing it

@carsonwright I think this has been resolved since? The extension API is now available, as well as allowing to set the partition and assigning a proxy like that?
