@Maelstrom The webhooks are necessary for events that can be triggered automatically from within the Braintree recurring billing system, so you don't have to poll our service to see whether a subscription charged successfully (for example). A subscription's plan can only be changed by direct action through the API or control panel, so you don't need to poll our service to see if it succeeded. Instead, you can directly use the response to the braintree.Subscription.update call.
