Ive the same problem now.

the phone cant be discovered in restore(dfu) mode, only works in normal & recovery mode (apple logo).
libimobiledevice is 1.1.0, too.
Will the git version be better?

same error here iphone 4 ubuntu 64bit libimobiledevice 1.1.1
it cannot be put in restore is it a issue of new firmware 4.3.3? and diff sending signal command?

i am also facing the same issue i.e.

Error: Unable to get component: iBEC
Error: Unable to send iBEC to device
Error: Unable to send iBEC

for iphone6,2_8.4_12H143_Rstore.ipsw

please help me out how i can remove this error and erase and update iphone.
