Appears to be an issue with
'Mailgun::validate($emailAddress);'
other mailgun functions (at least the ones i use) work.

Have you filled in both API Keys in your config.php?

yes. All the other functions in your project I use work ( Mailgun::send(), Mailgun::lists()->addMember, Mailgun::lists()->updateMember ) but when I use Mailgun::validate('[email protected])` it says - http://pbrd.co/1BeceJo
