[bitnami/mariadb] Impossible to use MariaDB's own NodePort in its initdb script about charts HOT 4 CLOSED

I'm afraid this is intended in Kubernetes installations. The NodePort is not meant to be accessible from inside the container. Any reason for not using the container 3306 port?

The containerPort is a parameter in the values file, I'm concerned that someone will change it and the init scripts will start failing if 3306 is hardcoded.

If you want to play safe, use this:

initdb:
  init.sh: 'mysql -h 127.0.0.1 -P {{ .Values.primary.containerPorts.mysql }} -u root -prootpass'
