so your setup is

[nginx port:4000, SSL] => [google_auth_proxy port:4180] => [dashboard port:5001]

If that's the case it looks like this redirect is coming from your internal app to add a slash to the request, and that redirect doesn't have the right configuration/context to respond with the right port, and google_auth_proxy and nginx are not in a place to fix that redirect.

I think you can fix this in your configuration by telling nginx how to correct the host:port in redirects via proxy_redirect

I think this would allow nginx to 'fix' the redirect adding the right port value.

proxy_redirect http://XXX-dev.wondermall.com/ http://XXX-dev.wondermall.com:4000/
