installed git version from aur - every time tested I did a reboot with same result, once the focus is gained ( click in ) it stays - just the forst dropdown is kinda annoying

It is kind of strange, because I'm archlinux user too, and unable to use wayland, so I'm still on on Xorg.
But I have no any issues with focus, i'm using ddtx every day for a long time, using it on my home and office machines - no issues with focus.
Could you please run

journalctl -fa

and then toggle terminal.
Send printed messages here, maybe we will find there some exceptions.

I'm realy, got no issues with focus, even after reboot, maybe you have some apps in autostart, that can stole the focus?

same thing - I disabled autostart apps ( insyn,syncthing,dropbox, pidgin ) - also extensions I thought might have impact ( caffeine, remove shield ) , Ill try to disale all extensions except dropdown
