No, I used latest release. (8.14)

They cycle: being displayed for ~0.2s each (if multiple traps are present) and then there's a break for a few seconds before the cycle starts again.

Edit: tried with fixed script: same behaviour.

I'm new to EET and modding so I never used it before. But from my ~1m old experience, I think so, yes.
I suppose you don't have EET as a platform to test on. If you can't remedy that, I can provide you with further testing, if needed.
Pertains to other components as well.

I'm not sure whether EET_end could affect this, but will test regardless.

I doubt it's related to EET. More likely, EE engine has different implementation of DisplayStringHead.

Yeah, tested with pure vanilla EET and EET_end installed, same result.
