Thanks for your advice! For Twitter I'm using Twidere, which also supports Mastodon but I prefer Tusky. "Conversation threads" seems a little difficult to implement but I will try my best. And I promise it will be totally tracker-free :) I will work on this project as soon as possible. When there's some nice progress you are very welcome to have an early try on it!

Yes of course :)

Thanks for your packaging request. However, this app is still in the early stage of rework, and is not ready to be published. I will consider publishing it to F-Droid when it's ready.
As for the issue, I will add the missing value ASAP.

Thanks for your fast response! So shall I "delay" my packaging request at F-Droid meanwhile? And as I already added it to my repo, shall I include a note on its early stage – both until you let me know it's ready?

The latest release (1.1.3) is something rather old, which was released before the rework, and there was no Twitter or Mastodon support. If you would like to publish that release into F-Droid and/or your repo, please update the app's description following the 1.x branch's README.

Oh! Now I understand why you wrote "rework". Thanks for information – I've disabled it for now in my repo, and will "stall" the RFP at the F-Droid Main Repo.
May I suggest to keep this issue here open, and you update it whenever there's something to be picked up by either my repo or the official one?

Just a short heads-up: any ETA already?

@beta any news?

Sorry but no, I haven't got much time to work on this.

That's sad

I will see if I can spare some time to work on this, as I also need a client like that. I will leave this issue open and will definitely let you know when there's finally something usable. Thank you for your interest in this project!

Thanks a lot, @beta! Definitely looking forward to that. I'm currently using twitlatte, but it's quite a bit limited (e.g. no "conversation threads", no DMs). Fine if you just wanna follow timelines and do an occasional toot/tweet, but not much more. Took a look at AndStatus but didn't like the design even a bit. Those are currently the only two clients in the FOSS world covering both networks. If there were one like Tusky covering both, I'd most likely embrace it
Between the lines: when your app supports the two, and if it comes tracker-free (as it currently seems to be), I might just have volunteered to beta-test (if time permits, which is hard to say in advance)

Yes, I'm using Tusky as well. I thought to take a look at Twidere – but that seems to be abandoned, development stopped in 11/2017 unfortunately. I prefer to not set on a dead horse, but rather use a living one
Looking forward then to play the early bird on yours!
