Thanks for the suggestion and I appreciate the interest in easy configuration.
As it stands, this is all the JavaScript you need to reject files in all editors in your app:
document.addEventListener("trix-file-accept", function(event) {
event.preventDefault()
})
If instead it was configured by adding a no-uploads
attribute, you'd have to remember to add that attribute every time you place a new <trix-editor>
somewhere.
If you actually want per-editor configuration, you can do something like:
document.addEventListener("trix-file-accept", function(event) {
if (event.target.hasAttribute("no-uploads")) {
event.preventDefault()
}
})
The alternative is for Trix to invert its decision to accept files by default. We'll keep that in mind, but for now it'll remain as is, enriched with files by default.
