Hi,

thanks for the quick response. I'm quite the introvert and prefer not to attend in-person events. Therefore, I kindly decline your invitation. Nevertheless, I wish you the best of luck with your event!

Cheers

Would be interested. I am little bit rusty and mainly did biology related data Viz (eg just recently the latest CNC analysis
https://hannesoberreiter.github.io/inat-austria-city-challenge-2023/) but also participated a few times in Tidy Tuesday.

Any more info on costs, remote possible minimum team size etc?

Cheers
Hannes

Hey Hannes, there are 2 options:

  1. you help me as a mentor for the challenge and make sure, that the teams work on relevant stuff. you orchestrate between the teams and help if required. you are part of the mentoring team and get food, drinks and a cool time

  2. you participate in the hackathon, for that you register on the platform alone or as a team. there are plenty of people who registered without a team, so if you don't register as a team you would join a team onsite and you work together 24hs on a visualisation of the data. a jury will rate you project and presentation and you can win a prize. you get food, drinks and a cool time

There is no cost for you, it is an on sight hackathon so in both cases you would have to be present. team sizes are between 2-5 people. Option 2 is usually more intense, Option 1 more relaxed.

Any of the two options would be cool if you join, I will do my best so that you have a great experience :)
