Modules currently aren't supported in esnext as they're currently listed as a TODO.

@sebmck the todo is only for integration, an integration I am unsure is even needed, both of these tools work absolutely fine today. (as i use them together)...

Just because you can use them together doesn't mean that it necessarily supports it. There's no built-in integration. You wouldn't say 6to5 supports generators just because you can chain it together with regenerator.

Esnext does represent a suite of tools.

esnext is referred to in our README as the transpiler specifically. You cannot simply run require("esnext").compile("import 'foo';"); which is what the comparison table support is based on.
