Let's say your list is called "name list". The field you want to retrieve is called "My Field" and the lookup/dropdown field is called "My Dropdown", and finally you want the value "QA" for that field.

So you can write it like that:

$SP().list("name list").get({fields:"My_x0020_Field",where:"My_x0020_Dropdown = 'QA'"}, function(d) {
  // 'd' will contain the items where "My Dropdown" equals to 'QA'
})

Thanx for the quick reply. I rebooted my PC and cleared the cache and my original code worked. The code was pretty much like what you supplied. THe workstation had been running for two days doing a lot of debugging in IE.

Great library you have designed. Everything is working well in our SharePoint 2007 environment. July of this year we will be converting everything to SharePoint 2013. I hope by using your library things will migrated smoothly.

I don't have Sharepoint 2013 so I cannot test it, but I guess the web services will be still there ! :-)
