Dealt with by #807. Once this is in, if you install from source, you can use the acq_function argument to select the AF. Please note that right now, we only support "ei" and "lcb" (lower confidence bound).
If you like to implement your own AF and contribute it back, we'd be delighted. The tutorial https://syne-tune.readthedocs.io/en/latest/tutorials/dev_bayesopt/bo_components.html shows you how this can be done.
